The Lasqueti Community Association AGM will be on Saturday June 3rd, 1 PM at the Hall. Bring $10 for your yearly membership, which enables you to vote and stand for committees or director. There will be elections, reports from committees, and a chance to review the draft HUG (Hall User's Guide) and proposed updated rental fees, and provide written feedback to the new Board of Directors. Committees, please remember we'd like to make your reports available before the meeting so be sure to get them posted on the email list by June 1st!

We're also planning a Work Party, Sunday June 18th, to fill woodshed for the winter. Come on out and help keep our hall warm, enjoy some great company and lunch. Wood too much, but want to help with lunch? Contact Aigul at 250-607-8008 to contribute.

On August 12, Jenny V will be organizing a Lasqueti's Got Talent event as the second LCA fundraiser for a new Hall sound system. More to come!

Is anyone interested in grant writing for the LCA? There's so much to do, and it would be great to have someone with the skills help us apply for more funding. Some of the projects include the kitchen upgrade, customizing the emergency container, fencing the yard, putting a roof on the outdoor stage, and more.
