I am asking if people are willing to donate or loan solar panels they are no longer using, and also charge controllers and other similar stuff (including cables and wire) that's being stored in or near sheds around the island.

My plan is to put together simple, small systems and lend them to people who currently have no solar capacity. I'm not planning to provide batteries or lighting fixtures. Being able to use a LED light or two can make a huge difference, especially at this time of year.

If you or someone you know could use a starter system like this, and they have some reasonably clear exposure to the sky, please let me know.

I have been told that three sets or panels will be contributed, but I haven't picked one up and the other two will be coming later. I will need charge controllers, wire, and and possibly anything else you have that you would like to contribute. The more panels there are to choose from, the better they can be matched together in sets.

I'm open to suggestions and to help with this. Brighter days are coming.  Many of us with hydro potential are still waiting for the ponds to fill and the streams to start flowing. Peter Johnston
